David G. Hanna
CompuCredit was launched in August 1996 by David G. Hanna, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Richard W. Gilbert, Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer, following nearly two years of extensive research and development. Mr. Hanna has been the Chief Executive Officer of CompuCredit since its formation in 1996 and has been the Chairman of the Board since the Company’s initial public offering in 1999. Mr. Hanna has been in the consumer credit industry for over 16 years.
Richard W. Gilbert
Richard W. Gilbert co-founded CompuCredit in 1996 with David Hanna and is the company’s Chief Operating Officer. He was named the new post of Vice Chairman in October 2000. He also serves on CompuCredit’s Board of Directors. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Gilbert is responsible for supervising financial operations, preparing projections and developing business strategies.
Mr. Gilbert brings more than 25 years of consumer credit experience to CompuCredit. Prior to joining CompuCredit, he was employed by Equifax from 1990 until 1995, first as Chief Operating Officer of its Collection Division and then as General Manager of Strategic Client Services. From 1995 until 1997, Mr. Gilbert was Chief Operating Officer of The American Education Fund, L.P. for HBR Capital, an investment management company. From 1979 until Nationwide Credit was sold in 1990, Mr. Gilbert served in various positions, including Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Development, Vice President of Marketing and as President of Financial Health Services, a division of Nationwide Credit.
Richard R. House, Jr.
Richard R. House, Jr., CompuCredit's President, joined the company in April 1997, and served as Chief Credit Officer for CompuCredit prior to being named President in 2000. Previously, Mr. House was Vice President for Equifax's Decision Solutions, a division which provides consulting and modeling services to many of the nation's major credit providers. In his 12 years in the consumer credit industry, Mr. House has held several senior positions with leading credit providers and service firms.
K.K. Srinivasan
As the President of Credit Cards, K.K. Srinivasan is responsible for the company's credit card line of business. Mr. Srinivasan joined CompuCredit from ForeTell, Inc. and WorthKnowing.com, which he founded in 1998. Prior to this, Mr. Srinivasan was a Vice President of First USA Bank. Mr. Srinivasan also worked at Equifax Inc., where he was Director of Quantitative Solutions for two years.
J. Paul Whitehead, III
J. Paul Whitehead joined the management team as Chief Financial Officer in October 2002. In this position, Mr. Whitehead is responsible for guiding financial decisions by establishing financial policies, controls and reporting systems. Prior to joining CompuCredit, Mr. Whitehead was a co-founder and served as both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of ZapMedia, Inc. Mr. Whitehead's experiences also include 13 years as a certified public accountant with Ernst & Young LLP.
